Enzian, Mountain summit in Bavarian Forest, Germany
The Enzian mountain rises to 1285 meters above sea level, featuring numerous hiking paths through dense forests of the Bavarian landscape.
The mountain marks the traditional boundary between the counties of Cham and Regen, serving as a geographical reference point since medieval times.
German mountaineers regularly place their names in the summit register located at the mountain peak, following a local custom of documenting ascents.
Hikers can reach the summit through the E6 European long-distance path, which connects the Arber peak to the Kaitersberg mountain range.
The mountain shares its name with the native gentian flower that grows on its slopes, reflecting the botanical diversity of the Bavarian Forest.
