Museum Burg Linn occupies a water castle with battlements, towers, moat, chapel, and palace, located five kilometers east of Krefeld city center.
The castle dates back to the 12th century when Otto and Gerlachus von Lynn constructed it, developing into one of the largest water fortifications in Lower Rhine.
The archaeological museum presents collections from 6,000 Roman and early medieval tombs discovered in Gelduba, including glass artifacts and a Frankish prince burial site.
The museum welcomes visitors from Tuesday to Sunday, with summer hours from 10:00 to 18:00 and winter hours from 11:00 to 17:00.
The site houses artifacts from the Battle of Gelduba in 69 AD and displays a detailed landscape model of the Roman fortress Gelduba from 200 AD.
