Häusling

Häusling is a mountain summit in Siegen that rises to 364 meters and can be seen from various parts of the city. The slope features a mix of natural vegetation and human structures, with walking and cycling routes crossing through the terrain.

In the 19th century, the mountain was a center for mining operations that served as training grounds for miners. These activities shaped the landscape and left marks that remain visible today.

The mountain slopes house the Media and Cultural House Lÿz, which functions as a central venue for community gatherings and artistic performances.

The mountain is easy to explore with several walking and cycling paths that offer different difficulty levels. It is advisable to wear comfortable shoes and stay on the marked routes.

The northwestern section of Häusling contains tennis courts and the Realschule Am Häusling school, integrating educational facilities within its natural setting.
