Küchengarten, Cultural heritage park in Gera, Germany.
The Küchengarten features baroque landscaping elements with geometric patterns in the western section and an English garden design in the eastern area.
Established in 1631 as a vegetable garden for Osterstein Castle, the residence of Gera lords from House of Reuß, this park supplied fresh produce to nobility.
The park underwent multiple name changes, including Stalinpark and Park der Opfer des Faschismus, before returning to Küchengarten in 1991.
The park operates from 6:00 to 21:00 during winter months and extends its hours until 23:00 from April through October.
An Orangerie built between 1729 and 1732 stands at the western edge, featuring a pre-classical design with three-part round arch passages.
