Kreislauf des Geldes monument, Bronze fountain in central Aachen, Germany
The Kreislauf des Geldes fountain features six bronze figures arranged around a concrete basin, depicting different aspects of monetary circulation and commerce.
Karl-Henning Seemann created this fountain in 1976 with funding from Sparkasse Aachen bank to represent financial interactions in society.
The bronze figures include representations of a father teaching financial concepts to a child, demonstrating the generational transfer of monetary knowledge.
Located at the end of Elisengarten on Hartmannstraße, the fountain operates year-round using heated water from Aachen's thermal springs.
The water flows counter-clockwise through the fountain, physically representing the circulation of money while the figures portray human financial behaviors.
