Museum Burg Bederkesa

Museum Burg Bederkesa displays findings and objects from the history of the Cuxhaven region, from early settlements to today. The collection covers thousands of excavation sites and documents the different periods of human settlement.

The fortress itself developed during the Middle Ages as a stronghold in this region. The building was converted into a museum in 1982 to preserve the archaeological findings and local history.
