Museum Burg Bederkesa, Archaeological museum in Geestland, Germany
The Museum Burg Bederkesa contains exhibits from over 10,000 archaeological sites in the Cuxhaven district, displaying artifacts from the 4th millennium BC to present day.
The building housing the museum was renovated and transformed into an educational institution in 1982, preserving regional artifacts and documenting local development through millennia.
The museum maintains several monument paths that guide visitors to archaeological sites across the district, connecting indoor exhibitions with outdoor historical locations.
From May to September, the museum welcomes visitors Tuesday through Sunday between 10:00 and 18:00, while winter hours run from 10:00 to 17:00.
The collection includes archaeological findings from thousands of sites within the Cuxhaven district, representing different periods of human settlement in Northern Germany.
