Present Continuous

Present Continuous is a modern sculpture in Skulpturenpark Pinakothek featuring a figure mounted on a red post. The work rises 380 centimeters high and stands along Gabelsberger Strasse near the main museum building.

The sculpture was created by Dutch artist Henk Visch and installed in 2007 as the park's collection expanded. It marks a period of growth for this art collection in the heart of Munich.

The figure's downward gaze creates a connection with the Egyptian Museum beneath the ground. This vertical relationship links two distinct spaces together.

The work is easily accessible via Gabelsberger Strasse and viewable from the outside at any time. The sculpture garden itself is open in most seasons and offers a public space to explore.
