St. Peter

St. Peter is a parish church with baroque architecture located in the Neuendorf district. The building features classical baroque design elements and was later expanded with a neo-baroque addition that includes a bell tower.

The building was completed in 1725 on the Rhine riverbank, replacing an earlier chapel from 1494. This baroque construction represented a major transformation of the site's religious architecture.

The church serves the local Catholic community as a place for worship and religious celebrations. It remains central to the spiritual life of residents in this part of the city.

The church is visible from the street and easy to reach from the surrounding area. Visitors can view the architecture from outside or enter the interior when the doors are open.

This is the only surviving baroque church building in Koblenz. Its design merges baroque style elements with gothic features from earlier architectural traditions.
