Altes Polizeipräsidium

The Altes Polizeipräsidium is a large administrative building in Frankfurt that combines Baroque Revival and Neoclassical stylistic features. The protected facades display elaborate architectural detailing across multiple floors with a symmetrical overall composition.

The building was constructed between 1911 and 1914 and subsequently served as Frankfurt's main police headquarters. Following severe damage during World War II in 1944, it was rebuilt and continued functioning as a police authority until 2002 before standing vacant.

The building displays the symmetrical design of early administrative architecture with elaborate ornaments that are now protected as a monument. Visitors can observe these decorative details while walking around the structure or during guided tours through its spaces.
