Walter Lübcke Bridge, Pedestrian bridge in Kassel, Germany.
The Walter Lübcke Bridge spans across the Fulda River, connecting the districts of Mitte and Unterneustadt through a dedicated pathway for pedestrians and cyclists.
Originally named after Karl Branner in 2000, the bridge received its current name in honor of Walter Lübcke, the district president of Kassel murdered in 2019.
The bridge functions as a venue during documenta fifteen, hosting installations from international artists and serving as a gathering space for cultural events.
Visitors can access the bridge daily between 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM, with ground-level entrances making it accessible for all pedestrians and cyclists.
The structure incorporates art installations, including a water clock by Black Quantum Futurism that functions as both a memory hub and performance stage.
