Dragon's Cave, Cave near Kalabaka, Greece.

Dragon's Cave features a 17-meter-wide entrance leading to a main chamber of 500 square meters with adjacent smaller alcoves and passages.

Archaeological excavations within the cave revealed skeletal remains from both the Upper Paleolithic period and Mesolithic era, dating back to 8000 BCE.

The cave contains ancient footprints of two children, providing direct evidence of early human habitation in the Thessalian region of Greece.

The site sits 100 meters above the Thessalian plain and 280 meters above sea level, with the Litheos River flowing directly in front.

Scientists consider this location crucial for studying human evolution, as it documents the transition from Neanderthal to Homo sapiens in Greece.
