Balkan Wars Museum, Military museum in Gefyra, Greece
The Balkan Wars Museum occupies a two-story building from the nineteenth century, displaying military artifacts, photographs, and historical documents from 1912-1913 conflicts.
The museum building served as the location for negotiations between Greek Crown Prince Constantine and Ottoman forces during the surrender of Thessaloniki in October 1912.
The museum collection includes four paintings by Kenan Messare depicting scenes from the Battle of Kilkis-Lachanas, along with military decorations from Greek, Turkish, and Bulgarian armies.
Located 25 kilometers from Thessaloniki, the museum welcomes visitors every day between 09:00 and 14:00 under the management of the Hellenic Army General Staff.
The museum displays authentic furniture used during the surrender negotiations, including the actual room where Crown Prince Constantine stayed overnight in 1912.
