Quartier des Ternes, Administrative quarter in 17th arrondissement, Paris, France.

The Quartier des Ternes extends from Place de l'Étoile to Porte Maillot, with Avenue des Ternes forming its central axis toward central Paris.

In 1840, Ternes contained only 18 houses, but rapid urbanization led to a population growth of 16,000 residents by its annexation to Paris in 1863.

The Saint-Ferdinand-des-Ternes Church, built between 1937 and 1957, exemplifies neo-Byzantine architecture and replaced a smaller structure from 1847.

The district connects to central Paris through metro lines 1 and 2, providing direct access to major business centers and educational institutions.

The area hosted numerous automobile manufacturers and dealerships in the late 19th century, marking it as an early center of French automotive industry.
