Villard-Corrençon

Villard-Corrençon is a ski area spread across two connected mountain villages, offering runs for beginners through advanced skiers. The region combines open ski terrain with forested sections and spans varied elevations suitable for different winter sports.

The area grew into a significant winter sports destination after the 1968 Winter Olympic Games brought new infrastructure to the region. This development allowed both villages to establish themselves as winter tourism centers.

Cross-country skiing holds deep roots here, and you often see athletes training on the trails throughout the season. The sport shapes daily life in both villages and how residents embrace the winter landscape.

Shuttle buses connect both villages to the ski slopes, making access straightforward throughout the season. Equipment rental shops and ski schools are located at various points, making it easy to get started whether you are new to skiing or experienced.

The Haut-Vercors cross-country network links three villages through an extensive trail system, creating one of the largest Nordic skiing areas in the region. This setup allows skiers to move between communities in a single day and experience diverse terrain throughout the network.
