Faculté de médecine de Paris, French medical school (1808-1970)
The Faculty of Medicine in Paris was a medical school located in the 5th arrondissement dedicated to training physicians and advancing medical knowledge. The building no longer stands, having been demolished in the course of urban development.
The school was part of Paris's long tradition of medical education and played a role in the development of modern medicine. Eventually it ceased operations and the site was repurposed through urban renewal.
Since the building no longer stands, visitors can only see the site in its current form. The 5th arrondissement itself is easy to explore on foot and offers many other landmarks and museums nearby.
