Menhir Express

Menhir Express is a log flume ride at Parc Astérix that spans several hundred meters and features two major drops where boats descend noticeably. The boats carry four passengers each and travel through man-made water channels with various water effects along the route.

The ride was built in the 1990s as part of Parc Astérix's expansion during that period. It was designed and installed by Hopkins Rides to add to the park's attractions.

The boats are designed as stone blocks inspired by ancient Gallic culture, which sets them apart from the wooden-style vessels you see on similar rides elsewhere.

This ride is accessible to visitors who meet the minimum height requirement, so check the guidelines before getting in line. The attraction can handle many riders per hour, but you may still face waits during peak times.

At one point during the ride, the boats briefly lift out of the water, creating a sudden moment of weightlessness that surprises riders. This detail sets it apart from standard water rides where boats stay on the surface throughout.
