Toutatis, Steel roller coaster in Parc Astérix, France

Toutatis is a steel roller coaster at Parc Astérix that spans more than 1000 meters of track with multiple launch sections. The ride reaches heights of around 50 meters and completes its course in about 90 seconds.

The project was announced in 2018 and opened in April 2023 after delays from environmental reviews. Its construction represented a major expansion for the park during that period.

The ride is named after Toutatis, a Celtic deity who protected tribes in ancient Gaul and Britain. This connection to the past gives the attraction a local historical flavor.

Visitors must be at least 130 centimeters tall to ride. It's worth checking the park's website before visiting, as opening times vary by season.

The ride features about 23 moments of weightlessness throughout its course, a distinctive characteristic that sets it apart. This design creates an unusual sensation of floating that repeats throughout the journey.
