SOS Tournevis is a steel roller coaster in Parc Astérix with pale yellow rails and brown support structures. The ride features a short track of roughly 200 meters and reaches a maximum height of 6 meters with speeds around 30 kilometers per hour.
The ride opened in 1990 as Trans' Arverne, named after the Gaulish Arverni people of the Asterix album Le Bouclier arverne. In 2000 it was moved south of the Le Relais Gaulois restaurant to clear its old site for the bobsleigh coaster La Trace du Hourra, completed the following year. Renamed Périférix in 2003 and SOS Numérobis in 2012, it became SOS Tournevis in 2024 to avoid confusion with the nearby La Tour de Numérobis.
The name SOS Tournevis, adopted in 2024, refers to Tournevis, the henchman of Amonbofis, rival of the architect Numérobis in the comic Astérix et Cléopâtre. The train is themed as a delivery convoy of cut stones stamped in Numérobis's colours, and the ride is set in his fictional quarry. The change avoided a duplicate with the nearby La Tour de Numérobis attraction.
Access is possible for people around 90 centimeters tall, though children under 120 centimeters need an adult companion. The ride itself lasts just a few minutes, making it a quick stop during a park visit.
The ride uses a booster wheel lift system that sets its mechanics apart. The train accommodates about 30 passengers arranged in pairs across a single row, emphasizing a compact and efficient design.
