L'Escadrille Des As

L'Escadrille Des As is a children's ride at Parc Astérix where small aircraft rotate around a central axis. Each plane has a control stick that lets young pilots adjust the altitude of their individual aircraft during the spinning motion.

The ride was added during the early years of Parc Astérix as part of the park's lineup. Its addition helped build the collection of French-inspired entertainment attractions in the park.

The ride draws on French aviation heritage with decorative elements that reflect early 20th-century flying machines. The design reminds visitors of the age when pilots first took to the skies.

Children between 90 centimeters (3 feet) and around 11 years old can ride without an adult. Plan to visit in the early hours of the day when wait times tend to be shorter.

As the ride spins, young pilots can raise and lower their planes, creating different flight patterns. This means each child experiences a slightly different ride based on how they manipulate the control stick.
