Discobélix, Disk'O coaster at Parc Astérix, Plailly, France
The circular platform of Discobélix moves along an 81.5-meter halfpipe track while spinning, creating alternating sensations of acceleration and weightlessness for riders.
Italian manufacturer Zamperla designed and installed this modern attraction in 2016, expanding the collection of rides at Parc Astérix which opened in 1989.
The ride incorporates elements from the French comic series Asterix, featuring characters and themes from ancient Gaul throughout its design and surroundings.
Located within Parc Astérix, Discobélix maintains daily operations from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM and requires riders to reach a minimum height of 120 centimeters.
Twenty-four passengers sit facing outward on a circular platform that simultaneously spins and travels across a curved track at a height of 10 meters.
