La Revanche des Pirates - Le Grand Splatch is a Shoot the Chute water ride built by Intamin in the "Bienvenue en Gaule" area of Parc Astérix. Its 627-metre course has two drops, the final one 11 metres high, and passes near the large statue of Astérix on a rock. Nine boats of twenty seats each carry riders over one metre tall.
The attraction opened when Parc Astérix launched in April 1989. It represented an early example of this ride type to be built in Europe at that time.
The ride's name changed in 2024 from Grand Splatch to La Revanche des Pirates - Le Grand Splatch during a retheming. Each Christmas, while the ride is closed, its second drop becomes La Glissade d'Obélix, a slide ridden on buoys bearing Obélix's image.
Wear water-resistant or quick-dry clothing, as splashing is part of the experience. It is wise to store personal items in a safe, dry location before boarding.
