The mountain paths around Pic d'Ansabère were established by shepherds who moved their flocks through these high pastures for generations.

The shepherd huts at 1565 meters maintain active pastoral traditions through local sheep cheese production throughout the summer months.

The ascent from Pont de Lamary requires approximately 6 hours of hiking over 11 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1200 meters.

The northern face of Pic d'Ansabère features more than 80 climbing routes distributed across different sectors of the cliff.
