Villa l'Artaude, Modernist villa in Le Pradet, France.

Villa l'Artaude is a modernist residence in a Mediterranean coastal setting with an L-shaped layout. The building combines exposed stone walls with large glass panels and concrete floors that blur the boundary between interior and exterior spaces.

The house was built between 1930 and 1931 as a commission from Countess Helène de Mandrot and follows modernist architectural principles. Its construction using regional building techniques shaped its structure and made it a key work of this architectural movement on the French Riviera.

The garden once displayed sculptures by artist Jacques Lipchitz from the early 1930s. These artworks transformed the place into a gathering spot for creative minds of that era.

This private home is located in Le Pradet on the south coast of France and now has protected monument status. Visits need to be arranged in advance since it remains a private residence.

The building uses local stone masonry techniques that set it apart from other designs of this period. This craftsmanship gave the house a distinct connection to the region's building traditions.
