Villa Nellcote, 19th-century coastal villa in Villefranche-sur-Mer, France
The 16-room mansion features marble Ionic columns on its facade and stands on a headland overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
Built in 1899 as Château Amicitia by banker Eugene Thomas, the property was acquired by the Bordes family in 1919 for nitrate shipping operations.
The Rolling Stones recorded their album 'Exile on Main Street' in the villa's basement during their 1971 residence.
The property remains inaccessible from the street, but visitors can view its exterior structure from boats in the Mediterranean Sea.
French authorities seized the villa from Russian oligarch Viktor Rashnikov in 2022 following international sanctions.
