Ancien hôtel Bristol de Beaulieu, Protected historical monument in Beaulieu-sur-Mer, France
The six-floor hotel Bristol features high roofs resembling an English castle and stands prominently along the Mediterranean coastline of Beaulieu-sur-Mer.
London furniture manufacturer Sir John Blundell Maple commissioned Danish architect Hans-Georg Tersling to construct this luxurious 300-room hotel in 1898.
The hotel's La Rotonde salon, added in 1904, became a central location for social gatherings where guests participated in afternoon tea dances.
Following a transformation in 1954, the building at 4 Rue du Lieutenant Colonelli now functions as an upscale residential property with four floors.
The hotel originally offered bathrooms equipped with heated seawater, demonstrating advanced technological features for the late 19th century.
