Description
The dolmen d'Er Houel features three standing orthostats with a capstone resting on the ground, displaying the partially ruined but still recognizable Neolithic architecture of this ancient burial chamber.
History
Built between 3000 and 2500 BC during the Neolithic period, this dolmen served as a collective burial site for the prehistoric populations that inhabited the Breton region.

Listed as a historic monument in July 2023, this dolmen forms part of Locmariaquer's rich megalithic heritage that demonstrates the funerary and ritual practices of ancient Bretons.
