Dandalo Bridge, Medieval stone bridge in Dandalo, Georgia.

Dandalo Bridge is an arched stone structure made of limestone that spans 20 meters across the Acharistsqali River and rises 14 meters high. The bridge sits on natural rock foundations on both sides and measures about 3 meters wide at its deck.

Construction of this bridge took place in the 11th century during a flourishing period of medieval Georgian architecture. It belongs to a series of important structures from this era that shaped regional building techniques.

The bridge displays traditional Georgian craftsmanship through carefully cut limestone blocks fitted together with precision. You can see how local builders created a lasting structure using only stone without modern tools.

The bridge is located approximately 60 kilometers east of Batumi in Keda Municipality and is accessible from the main road. The crossing remains in use today and is easy to reach on foot from nearby stops.

The bridge features a distinctive S-shaped design that adds to its structural strength. You can still see traces of historical construction scaffolding in the form of regular holes across the stone surface.
