Tsutskhvati Cave Natural Monument

The natural monument contains 13 distinct floors with the main tunnel measuring 200 meters long, 10 to 30 meters wide, and up to 28 meters high.

Archaeological excavations in the cave revealed stone weapons dating from 400,000 to 40,000 years ago, indicating extensive prehistoric human presence in the region.

The eleventh floor houses primitive ritual objects, including systematically arranged animal bones and teeth from ancient sacrificial ceremonies.

Visitors can reach the cave from Kutaisi, located 24.3 kilometers away, with the journey taking approximately 40 minutes by road transportation.

The cave features three separate chambers from the feudal period containing preserved stone walls, staircases, and ancient pottery vessels.
