Սուրբ Գևորգ եկեղեցի

The Saint George Church features a central dome supported by four pillars and exhibits traditional Armenian architectural elements throughout its brick construction.

The church was established in 1251 and contains several layers of wall paintings, with the oldest frescoes dating back to the 14th century.

The interior walls display extensive religious artwork depicting scenes from the Old Testament, created by different artists across multiple centuries.

The church contains two separate entrances on the west and north sides, with two-story chapels positioned on both sides of the main altar.

The building served as a manuscript preservation center with a dedicated scriptorium that produced important religious texts during medieval times.
