Mehtimäki Ice Hall, Indoor ice rink in Mehtimäki Sports Park, Joensuu, Finland.
Mehtimäki Ice Hall is a sports facility with three ice rinks under one roof, including a competition surface and two training areas. The building accommodates around 4800 spectators with 2500 seats total, several luxury boxes, and dining options throughout.
The hall was designed by Finnish architect Georgios Fasoulas and opened in 1982 as part of the Mehtimäki sports park. It has served as the city's main ice sports venue ever since.
The venue regularly hosts Mestis league ice hockey matches, figure skating championships, and multiple indoor sports competitions throughout the year.
Access is straightforward with clear signage throughout different areas. Facilities are well-equipped, and there is plenty of space for both spectators and athletes.
The facility closed in August 2023 for extensive renovations scheduled to complete in November 2024, marking its first major upgrade in four decades.
