Villa Billnäs

Villa Billnäs is a manor house beside the Mustio river featuring solid stone walls combined with wooden elements typical of early 20th-century construction. The building centers on a courtyard around which rooms and spaces are arranged, creating a layered interior layout.

Architect Lars Sonck designed the manor in 1917 following the destruction of an earlier wooden structure at the site. This new construction represented a fresh start for the location.

The manor exemplifies Finnish national romantic design, blending natural materials with traditional craftsmanship visible throughout the building. This approach shaped how the structure integrates stone and wood in its exterior and interior details.
