Founded for Augustinians in 1315 by the Devin Counts, the church underwent reconstruction after a 1750 earthquake that transformed its interior into Baroque style.
The cloister contains 23 sepulchral slabs of Rijeka patricians, preserving the memory of notable citizens from the medieval period through carved inscriptions.
