The Immaculate Conception Chapel stands on Kő-hegy in Budaörs, not among residential streets. Farmer Wendler Ferenc had it built from 1854 to 1855; the foundation stone was laid on 5 May 1855 and it was consecrated on 15 October 1855. Above the entrance a German inscription quotes the opening of the Gospel of John: "In the beginning was the Word."

Farmer Ferenc Wendler had the chapel built on Kő-hegy from 1854 to 1855, after dreaming in 1847 of the Virgin Mary saying "I am the Immaculate Conception". The foundation stone was laid on 5 May 1855, and the chapel was consecrated on 15 October 1855, before the Lourdes apparitions. Pope Pius IX, who declared the dogma in 1854, gave the chapel a statue of Mary. After 1946 it stood untended until the German minority self-government restored it, reconsecrating it on 15 October 2003.

The chapel's name comes from Wendler Ferenc's 1847 dream, in which he saw the words "I am the Immaculate Conception" on rose leaves by a blackthorn bush on Kő-hegy. A September pilgrimage was held here: after the morning bell, four ceremonial shots were fired from a mortar, three for the Trinity and one for the Virgin Mary, before flag-bearing processions climbed the hill. The chapel stands on Kő-hegy above Budaörs, reached by a path built up the hill in spring 1855; the walk climbs from the town below. Wendler dug a cross-shaped cave beside the chapel in 1872 and lived in it until his death, and his grandson Mátyás later enlarged it and lived there from 1932. The chapel was reconsecrated on 15 October 2003 after restoration by the Budaörs German Nationality Self-Government.
