The Zselic National Landscape Protection Area extends across 8,337 hectares of rolling hills, forests, and meadows in southwestern Hungary's Transdanubia region.
The Hungarian government established this protected landscape in 1976, followed by its designation as an International Dark Sky Park in 2006.
The protected area serves as an educational center where visitors learn about nocturnal wildlife, astronomy, and natural sciences through organized programs.
Entry tickets cost 800 HUF for adults and 600 HUF for visitors under 18, with guided night sky tours available at Hotel Kardosfa upon registration.
The low light pollution levels in Zselic allow visitors to observe the Milky Way, Zodiacal Light, and numerous celestial phenomena with the naked eye.
