Dévényi Antal-kilátó

The Dévényi Antal observation tower is a wooden structure built on Nagy-Kopasz peak at roughly 450 meters elevation. It features a viewing platform where visitors can look out over the surrounding landscape.

The tower honors Antal Dévényi, who began reforestation work in the region starting in the 1920s. He shaped the local forestry management for several decades afterward.

The tower's design references the wooden block stacking game Jenga through its construction approach. Visitors can see how this playful concept influences the way the wooden beams are layered.

The tower is open year-round without entrance fees and includes seating areas and information boards. Visitors will find designated spaces for fires and picnicking.

From the platform, visitors look out across the Buda Hills, Pilis Mountains, and neighboring mountain ranges in multiple directions. This broad view across so many regions makes the visit rewarding.
