Glenveagh National Park, National park in County Donegal, Ireland.

Glenveagh National Park extends across 170 square kilometers of mountains, forests, and lakes within the Derryveagh Mountains range, featuring multiple walking trails.

The construction of Glenveagh Castle, initiated by Captain John George Adair in 1867, resulted in the eviction of 44 families during the 1861 famine period.

The park grounds contain gardens with plant collections from three continents, reflecting Victorian landscape design principles and international horticultural influences.

The visitor center provides guided tours, educational programs, parking facilities, and a tea room, with free admission to the park grounds throughout the year.

The national park maintains the largest red deer population in Ireland and participates in the golden eagle reintroduction program since 2000.
