Golan Heights Winery

Golan Heights Winery is a wine production facility in the Golan region that operates across 16 vineyards cultivating diverse grape varieties. The site includes sections dedicated to experimental winemaking where techniques are tested and quality is monitored.

The winery was established in 1983 by eight Israeli settlements and released its first vintage in 1984. This founding marked a turning point in Israeli wine production methods and introduced significant innovations to the region.

The facility combines traditional barrel fermentation techniques with modern technology, employing 110 staff members who maintain production standards throughout the process.

Visitors can join guided tours through the facility to learn about production processes. The site is easily accessible and provides insight into both modern and traditional winemaking approaches.

The high elevation and volcanic soil of the region create special conditions for grape growing that shape the character of the wines. These natural features influence taste and quality in ways rarely found in other wine regions.
