Ein HaEmek, Community settlement in Megiddo Regional Council, Israel.
Ein HaEmek is a community settlement in northern Israel built across hilly terrain with residential areas and farmland interspersed throughout. The settlement sits at an elevation of around 250 meters (820 feet) and blends housing with extensive agricultural zones.
The settlement began in 1944 when 30 Kurdish immigrant families arrived and established it as a moshav called Kedem. It was later renamed and expanded significantly following regional changes in 1948.
Agriculture shapes daily life here, with olive groves and grain fields covering the landscape in all directions. The farming tradition remains visible in how the community is organized around seasonal work and cultivation.
The settlement has schools and community centers open to visitors, along with information about farm activities in the area. It sits near major roads, making it accessible from surrounding towns and cities.
It was the seventh community established in the Ramot Menashe region, making it part of an early wave of settlement development in that area. This pioneering role shapes how the area developed and grew over time.
