Kfar Menahem, Agricultural kibbutz in Yoav Regional Council, Israel
Kfar Menahem is a kibbutz in Yoav Regional Council with mixed farming combining crops, poultry, and cattle. The settlement includes the Tzafit High School, a regional museum with a Tower and Stockade model, and the Beit Habanim culture hall featuring exposed concrete design.
It was founded in 1937 by pioneers from North America, Germany, and Poland as a Tower and Stockade settlement during the Arab revolt. This defensive structure reflected the security needs of that era.
The Avenue of the Artists hosts working studios where craftspeople engage in blacksmithing, ceramics, and wood art in full view of the community. This artistic presence shapes daily life and connects residents to creative tradition.
The settlement sits about 7 kilometers east of Kiryat Malakhi and is easily accessible by car. Key sites like the museum and culture hall are centrally located and walkable within the grounds.
The local handball team Hapoel Kfar Menachem won the first state cup in 1960 and became national league champions in 1962. These early victories brought the kibbutz recognition in Israeli sports.
