B'nai B'rith cave, Holocaust memorial cave in Forest of the Martyrs, Israel
The natural karst cave contains stone shelves for candles and marble plaques detailing the memorial purposes of this underground sanctuary point.
The B'nai B'rith Cave was consecrated on May 29, 1959, during the International Convention of B'nai B'rith organization held in Israel.
Inside the cave, inscriptions in Hebrew and English commemorate six million Jewish individuals who lost their lives during the Nazi Holocaust.
The memorial site includes a paved stone plaza with wide stairs leading to the cave entrance, which features protective metal bars.
The cave stands within a forest of six million trees, each representing one Jewish person who perished during the Holocaust.
