Crocodiles in Hamat Gader

Crocodiles in Hamat Gader is a facility housing multiple species of crocodiles in their own fenced pools connected by floating bridges. The layout creates distinct environments for American alligators, Nile crocodiles, caimans, and Indian gharials to live side by side.

The farm was established in 1981 starting with American alligators imported from Florida. Over time, it expanded to include Nile crocodiles from Africa, caimans from South America, and gharials from India.

The facility processes crocodile skins for luxury products and sends them to European manufacturers while maintaining a focus on species preservation.

The site offers daily feeding demonstrations and guided tours suitable for visitors of all ages to learn about the different reptile species. Plan to spend time walking between the pools and bring water, as the location is warm and exposed to the sun.

The facility is positioned near natural thermal springs that help maintain warm water conditions for the reptile pools. This natural heat source eliminates the need for artificial heating and creates ideal living conditions for the tropical species.
