The Pazhassi Raja Archaeological Museum contains stone sculptures, metal artifacts, pottery items, and ancient coins from different historical periods of Kerala.
The museum building, originally constructed as East Hill Bungalow in 1812, was converted into an archaeological institution in 1976 and renamed in 1980.
The museum exhibits display items from megalithic age cultures and Indus Valley civilization, including burial urns and temple models representing regional traditions.
Located 7 kilometers from Kozhikode Railway Station, the museum opens from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM with a lunch break between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM.
The collection includes military equipment from British and French soldiers alongside Panchaloha idols and stone statues identified as war heroes.
