Haj House, Lucknow

The Haj House is a pilgrimage accommodation facility in Sarojini Nagar that supports travelers on their religious journey. The site organizes into three connected sections: a convention center, Islamic center, and administrative offices linked by a central lobby.

The facility was established in 2007 to create a central hub for Muslim pilgrims from Uttar Pradesh preparing for their religious journey. The project responded to growing demand for organized accommodations and services for pilgrims from the region.

The building merges traditional Islamic architectural features like iwans and domes with contemporary design. It functions as a gathering place for worshippers and hosts religious assemblies and educational events.

The facility has an open layout that allows visitors to move easily between different sections. Raised platforms along the Gomti River provide additional outdoor areas and transitions throughout the complex.

The building employs a sophisticated system of clustered domes that brings natural light deep into interior spaces. Additionally, a circulation system has been integrated that uses wind for ventilation and enhances visitor comfort.
