The fort spans across 463 acres between Manjhi and Banganga rivers, featuring massive stone walls and multiple entrance gates at 760 meters elevation.
The Katoch Dynasty built this structure in the 4th century, and it later became a strategic point during conflicts between Mughals and local rulers.
Several stone temples dedicated to Lakshmi-Narayana and Ambika Devi deities stand within the fort's courtyard, along with a Svetambara Jain temple.
Visitors can reach the fort through designated trekking paths that lead to the main entrance, where guided tours provide information about the structure.
The fort contains architectural elements from different periods, including gates from the Sikh era and structures attributed to Nawab Saif Ali Khan.
