Kachiguda

Kachiguda is a residential neighborhood in central Hyderabad with a mixed layout of homes, shops, schools, and several temples. The streets connect different areas and lead to transport hubs, while the district thrives through local markets and everyday business activity.

The area took shape during the Nizam rule when the Kacheguda railway station was constructed as an important transport hub. This station brought development and connections to the region and remains today as the third major railway center in Hyderabad.

The area is home to people of different faiths who gather at temples like Shri Khatu Shyam Baba and Shri Acchalgach Jain Mandir scattered throughout the streets. These places of worship shape the daily rhythm and social fabric of Marwari, Jain, and Gujarati communities living here.

The neighborhood connects easily to the rest of Hyderabad through many bus routes, MMTS train services, and the major Kacheguda railway station. Visitors can move around the area without difficulty and reach other parts of the city conveniently.

The name comes from the Kachi Community that settled near the Mahakali temple and influenced how the neighborhood grew. This link between community and temple shows how earlier settlements shaped what we see there today.
