St. George's Church, Hyderabad

The white stone building of St. George's Church displays traditional colonial architecture with high ceilings, large windows, and wooden furnishings throughout its interior.

The foundation stone of St. George's Church was laid in February 1844, following the Nizam's grant of land through a Firman-e-Mubarak in 1836.

The church transformed from an Anglican institution to become part of the Church of South India in 1947, reflecting the changes in post-independence religious organization.

St. George's Church holds regular Sunday services with Holy Communion at 8:30 AM and Evensong at 6:30 PM under the Diocese of Medak administration.

The original Baptism Register from 1844 remains preserved in the church Vestry, documenting generations of the Protestant community in Hyderabad.
