Janeshwar Mishra Park, Lucknow, Urban park in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, India.
Janeshwar Mishra Park is a public park in Gomti Nagar, a neighborhood of Lucknow in northern India, spanning more than 150 hectares. Several artificial lakes divide the grounds into different zones with paths for walking, cycling, and jogging.
The grounds were developed during Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav's term and opened to the public in 2014. Funding came from the state budget of Uttar Pradesh.
The name honors a politician from Uttar Pradesh, whose statue greets visitors at the entrance. Families and sports groups use the lawns on weekends for picnics and ball games.
The grounds open early in the morning and remain accessible until evening, with no admission charge. Boat rides on the lakes are available for a fee and popular during warm weather.
All electrical systems run on solar energy, which few park visitors realize. Military aircraft and tanks stand beside the paths as permanent exhibits.
