History
The tomb was built for Ahmad Shah, who founded Ahmedabad as a capital city and ruled from 1411 to 1442. This period saw the city grow into a major trade hub in the region.

The tomb houses the remains of Ahmad Shah, his son Muhammad Shah II, and his grandson Qutb-ud-Din Ahmad Shah II in separate chambers.
