Margomunda Block was established in 2009 as part of administrative reforms in Jharkhand designed to improve rural governance. This creation was a step toward better support for communities in the region.
Residents speak Hindi and Urdu in daily life and maintain farming traditions passed down through generations. People here are closely connected to agriculture, which shapes the rhythm of everyday life in the area.
The block headquarters serves as the central point for administrative matters and is within reach of most villages. Most settlements are connected by roads with electrical supply, making travel and access easier across the region.
The region is shaped by a large population of agricultural laborers working in the fields, while smaller groups farm the land as owners. This distribution shows the strong reliance on agriculture and the important role seasonal and migrant labor plays in the local economy.
