Nagi Bird Sanctuary, Wetland bird sanctuary in Jamui district, India.

The sanctuary extends over 2.1 square kilometers of water bodies surrounded by dry deciduous forests and rocky hills in southern Bihar.

The construction of Nagi Dam started in 1955 and finished in 1958, transforming the area into a reservoir that later became a protected wildlife zone.

Local communities from seven surrounding villages maintain connections to the sanctuary through traditional agricultural practices in downstream fields.

Visitors can reach the sanctuary from Jhajha railway station, located 12 kilometers away, with the main entrance accessible through established walking paths.

The wetland hosts more than 20,000 water birds during winter months, including large groups of bar-headed geese in the Indo-Gangetic plain.
